Mrs. Pam Wong, who graduated from UC Berkeley with a B.S. degree in Business Administration, has experience teaching Scratch to 3rd-5th grade students at Hidden Hills for its STEAM Gate enrichment program.
What is Scratch? It is a block-based programming language and online community where children can program and share interactive media such as stories, games, and animation with people around the world. Children who create with Scratch, learn to think creatively, work collaboratively, and reason systematically. Mrs. Wong guided children to have a taste of Scratch and ignite children's interest in programming.

Bryan, Mason and Alica are the 8th grade students in Windemere Ranch Middle School. They all love resolving Rubik's cube and are experienced competitors for resolving Rubik's cube.
16 students attended "Hack A Tech - Beginning with Rubik's Cube" held in Pleasanton on Sept. 17, 2017. Featured Speakers Bryan, Mason and Alicia taught students the basic techniques how to resolve 6 x 6 Rubik's Cube.

Dr. Tong has a PhD degree in Computer Science and a strong background in mathematics. He has over 15 years industry experience in Software Engineering.
10 students attended "Hack A Tech - Computers Arithmetic" held in Pleasanton on Auguest 12, 2017. Featured Speaker Dr. Tong taught students how to convert arithmetic expressions into binary trees and how to validate arithmetic expressions using an automata. Students drew binary trees themselves and built automata for very simple languages such as strings with even number of 0s.

Partnership with World Cube Association (WCA), "Hack A Tech" is proud to bring this world-class Rubik's Cube Competition into Tri-Valley area.
More than 100 competitors from 8 different countries attended the San Ramon 2017 Rubik's Cube Competition. It was a great fun and educational family event during the summer and attracted more than 200 hundreds observers around the area. Competition results are posted in WCA website.

Mrs. Gao has over 10 years experience in Biomedical Engineering, and had first hand experience using computer programming to solve medical problems. She talked about how computer science, especially Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, can help doctors solve problems such as fast diagnoses and better surgeries.
12 students attended "Hack A Tech - Artificial Intelligence in Medicine" held in Dublin Library on June 17, 2017. Featured Speaker Mrs. Anne Gao first talked about the application of AI and Robotics in medical fields. Students then formed 6 groups and each group worked out a solution for a medical problem with usage of Artificial Intelligence.

Dr. Shi has been developing software for more than 20 years. He has been focusing on mobile App developing in the past 6 years. Dr. Shi published more than 20 apps in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. He consulted for many high-tech companies ranging from large coorporation such as Hauwei to fast-growing startups. He also won awards in startup contests and hackathons.
18 students attended "Hack A Tech - Swift Programming" held in Dublin Library on May 20, 2017. Featured Speaker Dr. Shi talked about the basics of the Swift Programing. Student practiced simple Swift code on https://iswift.org/playground

24 students attended "Hack A Tech - Design and Build Mobile App" held in Dublin Library on April 15, 2017. Featured Speaker Anson Hu talked about what is USACO and how to prepare for it. Edwin Mui then showed student how to use MIT App Inventor to build a mobile app for Android phone.

Mr. Hu is an Engineering Executive at Salesforce. He has been in Clouding Computing field for many years.
26 students attended "Hack A Tech - Design and Build Mobile App" held in Pleasanton on Mar. 26, 2017. Dr. Hu first gave student an overview of Cloud Computing. Edwin Mui then showed student how to use MIT App Inventor to build a mobile app for Android phone. Students learned the basics of the MIT App Inventor and explored the excitement of building their first mobile app. At the end of the HATH, three students gave a brief demo of their very first mobile app.

Dr. Wu received his Ph.D. degree in computer science from MIT. He is an expert in Human-Computer Interaction field with 10+ years working experience. He worked for Oracle for 8 years as Principal User Interaction Designer and Usability Engineer. He is now working at a start-up company, in charge of the entire front-end design and development. Dr. Min Wu has been teaching at 4 local universities for 10 years.
22 students attended "Hack A Tech - Design and Build Website" held in Dublin Library on Feb. 11, 2017. Dr. Wu first gave student an overview of how the internet works and what's the best practice for website design. Edwin Mui then showed student how to use Wix platform to quickly build a professional looking website without the need of writing HTML. Students then explored the Wix platform and designed their website in groups. At the end of the HATH, each student gave a brief demo of their Website.
