April 2021, the Green Apple Education Foundation team reached a huge milestone for the Book Drive project held in 2020. 1,200 books, collected and shipped to African Library Project warehouse during pandemic have arrived in Uganda to establish a brand new library for the Area City Star Nursery and Primary School!
Despite all the difficulties and delays caused by COVID-19 pandemic, Green Apple Education Foundation, in partner with African Library Project, collected 1400+ gently used books K-8th grade reading level in 2020. These books are currently being shipped to Uganda to help build a library at Arua City Star Nursery and Primary School.
A big thank you to all our volunteers and friends, especially the CSF members from Dougherty Valley High School, San Ramon, CA. This could not have happened without their generous donation, and dedicated work in sorting, packaging, and mailing the books!
Green Apple is very grateful that our annual book drive was not halted by the pandemic. With so much support and help from our community, we are confident that our work will continue for many years to come.
Together we can change lives, book by book.
