The District 15 Congressional App Challenge
Established by Members of the U.S. House of Representatives in 2013, Congressional App Challenge competition is a nationwide event that allows high school students from across the country to compete by creating and exhibiting their software application, or “app,” on a platform of their choice. The Congressional App Challenge is open to students in high school or below, regardless of experience with coding. Green Apple Education Foundation forms team and participants for the CA 15th Congressional District competition.
2021 App Challenge
- Students can register for the challenge here.
- Any apps coded after October 19th, 2020 are eligible to be entered.
- To be eligible, students must be a middle school or high school student.
- Students may register individually or as a team up to four individuals.
- Students have until November 1st to register and submit their app.
- The winner will be announced in December.

Youths of all coding experience levels are welcome to join our Hack A Tech team in this two day hackathon, which include workshops to teach students Java programming and other computer science principles to develops apps on the Android integrated development environment, Android Studio. Join a HackATech team!
